Recently, I spotted a repo called Career-Ops 1. It says it can automate the job searching process, and I think it is totally suitable for me as I always seeking for any opportunities. What’s more, I have some Google Gemini credit which I sometimes use it. So anyway, I give Career-Ops a shot.

Surprisely, it not only helps to find some jobs that I have a hard time to find, but also exhibits a new era of job seeking to me, which I write this post for both record and to force myself to familiarize as in the last month, everyone are stoked to use this tool for extraordinary performance of job seeking.

Gemini CLI Integration

Because I have some Gemini credit and not familiar with any openClaw-like tools, Career-Ops provide a native Gemini CLI integration is a bit plus for me: I just need to install Gemini CLI, then clone Career-Ops, go into the directory, and execute Gemini CLI. After these, the magical happens.

Job Seeking

I will say this will be the #1 feature to me (there is the other #1 feature which I will talk later). It not only recommends you the jobs with at least 4 out of 5, but also searches jobs on various places then make the recommendation, which is a tedious and repetative job if you are not familiar with web scrapers.

Resume Generation

Even though I have a LaTeX format resume and get above 90/100 score of ATS scan, I still think it might be works as the generated resume remarks the keywords of my ability.

I will give 3 out of 5.

Job Evaluation

Just like job seeking feature, I rank this as the other #1 feature as it can make some evaluations so that you have quickly have an impression of your job. What’s more, it gives you a hint of preparing interviews and salary.

Future Aspects

I have tried for a few days, and Career-Ops is totally amazing! The above listed features helps me a lot, and I can’t wait to use other features.
